Material Activism operates at the intersection of material design and materials science.
Three core principles underpin the work in order to embed sustainable and shared values into each project:
These principles are integrated into pioneering regenerative process development for textile fabrication and finishing, material-based tracking and tracing of materials in a circular economy, innovative non-toxic and circular chemical recycling technologies for bio-based materials, as well as distributed models for the production of biomaterials.
Much of this work emerges from interdisciplinary and equal collaboration with partners.
Though interventions at all stages of the value chain, we demonstrate new possibilities
for materials and their processes.
